Redline Flight Pro XL

The Flight Pro XL is an option package on the awesome Redline Flight Pro, geared for those with slightly different preferences for taking it big.

The Expert XL begins its journey to greatness with a U-6 aluminum alloy frame, integrating forged dropouts and integrated headtube with reversible mounts for the ultimate in strength when it comes to first flying and then nailing the ultimate landing. The main difference between the Expert and The Expert XL comes via the replacement of the Experts aluminum race fork and handlebar with sturdier Chromoly units to withstand a greater beating.

The other main difference between the Pro and its XL counterpart is that those awesome Tioga tires have had their vertical cross-section increased slightly, in order to better absorb impacts while maintaining stability. Double-walled Sun rims were plenty enough in the Expert, and remain so in the XL, refusing the tendency to break or bend with the same aplomb. A Tektro brake system slows things down in a hurry.

So, for the same price and the same specs, why not just upgrade to the stronger Flight XL? There is a slight tradeoff with weight for all that chromoly, so consider carefully whether or not you need the extra strength that the XL offers or the slightly higher performance of the standard Expert.
