Redline Recon LE

Redline BMX bikes come with a good pedigree and reputation that is virtually second to none. The Redline RECON LE does that standard justice and is one of the most popular choices in the Redline freestyle range.
The bike is classed as more of an entry level bike but is in use by more intermediate riders because of the bikes resilience. The RECON LE is great for learning the ropes when it comes to a trick inventory and may even help improve the skills of those more advanced riders, like I said simply because it is tough and light.
Specs - Redline have issued the RECON LE with the Redline Mid-Size Device-Technology Design Frame in strong but light high tensile steel, and the updated Redline Monster fork with attached high-tensile steel steerer and legs. The handlebars are Redline 24 inches wide x 6.5 inches tall x 12 degrees back x 4 degrees up and made from high tensile steel, with Redline Hex Pro grips. The crank is 175mm 3-piece Redline Tubular Chromoly with Redline Resin Platform peddles. You get the ultra safe and strong Tektro FX340 U-Brakes at the front and rear of the bike with Tektro 289A aluminum brake levers.
The wheels are made up of Alex Y3034 48-hole front and rear rims, Redline front hub with 14mm Axle and Redline Flip-Flop rear hub with a 14mm Axle. The tires that grace these fine wheels are the very nice looking and robust 20 x 1.95 inch Redline Freaky-X 65psi.
Conclusion – The Redline RECON LE is built in the great tradition of the company. The emphasis is always on quality at Redline and this BMX has all of that and more. You have to appreciate the almost classic look and feel of the RECON LE; it is a gracefully swift BMX full of venom for the ramps.
It gives the entry level rider a feel of what the pro bikes feel like, and intermediate riders something to modify to get an advantage. This is a bike that will surprise the intermediate riders – trust me it is a little trick up the sleeve!
