Redline RL 1.2

Ok, so youve discovered the joy of the downhill mountain trail. What do you do now that your old junior bike is making your frog legs grab every piece of shrubbery on the hill? You could go for the Redline RL 1.1, but if speed is your thing then you might want to think about an upgrade.
The Redline RL 1.2 is a $100 upgrade package to the 1.1, geared for higher speeds and more discerning riders. The two begin life on the same assembly line as identical frames, steer tubes and Alex rims, but there the similarity ends. Somewhere along its journey, the 1.2 acquires a higher 33/12 gear set, speed oriented Freaky-X tires, and an Oryg detangler for added consistency.
Higher speeds necessitate better brakes, so whereas the 1.1 had Tektro brakes only on the back, the 1.2 ups the ante by hanging those same super-binders over the front rim as well. Though still capable of rock climbing like any good BMX, the 1.2 is definitely going to be the tool of choice if the concrete jungle is your playground. Redline seems well aware of this fact, since they graciously added a second foot peg for the grinders.
At $700, the 1.2 is definitely not the cheapest bike out there, but offers a lot for the dollar and is a bargain buy when compared to comparable offerings by others in this class.
