Redline Romp LE

Lightweight, stylish and tough, the Romp LE may well be Redlines “all things to all people” BMX bike. At a suggested retail price of $300, the Romp cant exactly be called an economy bike, but dont take that to mean it isnt a bargain.
Refusing to jump on the Aluminum-frame bandwagon that seems to have started trolling its way through the industry and picking up every passenger that will ride, the Romp makes due on the strength of the pure and brutally good engineering of its high-tensile steel unit. Redline is one of the few companies that can seem to make a solid steel frame a quantifiable lightweight without resorting to Chromoly, which keeps the price competitive.
Dont take that to mean the Romp is old fashioned, though. Its hardware list is filled to the brim with some of the best equipment available. The tubular chromoly crankset drives a KMC Z411 chain to motivate those indestructible Alex Y-303 48H, and super-grimy Kenda K-Rad tires ensure that the competition behind will have to spend their gas money at the bike wash.
The Romp is a bike even the best among us could use for years of sideways, backwards and upside-down action without ever having to worry about. Such are the benefits of learning from history, and repeating the best parts of it all the way to the finish line.
