DK Aura
DK Aura - Dramatic improvements have been made with the DK line of BMX bicycles, over the years, including various components from handlebar style and strength to the tires.
Specs - Stepping up to the plate is the Translucent Maroon color DK Aura that has been fitted out with 100% Chromoly Park/Trail design frame with features such as holes so that gyro tabs can be easily removed giving a bit of freedom to have just that few extra grams of weight ratio (you know should you be on the quarter pipe later today). The removable pins aspect of aluminum platform peddles give you a bit more of the go with what you need edge when either expressing your trick inventory or just having a casual ride around. Forget Shimano we have the DK 175mm Chromoly Social 3 piece design, giving a little extra emphasis on comfort while you ride. It just seems to add a bit of strength and you can feel it. The seat has a handy pivotal design like you would expect to find on a good quality BMX, so no need to worry about chafing or slips.
The Tektro FX-570 Alloy U-brake system is as always a great set of safety essentials, reducing the rattle and squeak of conventional brakes on some cheaper BMX models. Handle bars are consistent with the overall design of the bike in the butted DK Crazy-8 2 piece 11, and being made of 100% 4130 Chromoly these are a robust set of handle bars. Stylish looking black Front and Sealed 14mm Cassette rear hubs set off the wheels with the 36H Sun Rhyno Lite & City Lite rims making the overall look of the bicycle stand out on a crowd; very nice!
Conclusion – DK have too long been in the dark, this bike has set a new standard for the Company, its a great piece of equipment. The only real sure way of you knowing how this bike feel is not just by taking my word for it, get out and test one as you are in for a bit of a treat. Forget the old image of DK this BMX is awesome!
