Eastern Jane

Eastern pro bikes come in either black or red and are typically used in freestyle or basic off-road functions. The Eastern series including Jane seem to want to look rugged, yet the bars are a little flimsy, the chains easily erode, the hubs are low quality, and its not wise to grind on the cranks. The pedals are made of plastic, so one can just imagine how often those need to be replaced.
The appearance looks a little effeminate and old compared to many of the Mongooses. In fact, the Jane looks like it could almost have existed in the Twenties; perhaps the slant towards the back of the bike is similar looking to some of the first bikes ever made.
Besides the feminine and flimsy mechanics of the Jane, corpulent people may find this bike more comfortable than other competitors within its class and price range; this bike probably has the longest distance from the nearly upward facing seat to the handle-bars; perhaps a tough chic might fancy herself on this bike, and the stealth cranks, the skull grip, and the stem choker can perhaps make her feel tougher than before. Its not to say that this is a young ladies bike, but if there were to be a BMX bike designed strictly for women, this would be it.
