Giant GFR FW
The Giant GFR FW is a great BMX to start practicing the art of BMX dirt and street riding. This whip is tough and will allow a lot of room for your tactical decisions, be it trickery or just a bit of extra power for speed.
All in all if you are a beginner the GFR is an ideal bike to go through the motions on, it is not heavy and has a nice 19.5 inch frame that is very well balanced. A great bonus is the price that is quite a lot cheaper than many BMX bikes on the market currently with a similar specification.
Specs – The frame is a TIG welded high tensile steel Giant design for 2009, with high tensile steel forks and a Chromoly steerer. The handlebars are again in tough high tensile steel with a slightly shorter 6.55 inch rise. The brake system is the aluminum Tektro U-brake with Tektro Aluminum Lever. You get a 1 piece Chromoly GT crank with 39 teeth chain ring and 16T freewheel which features VP resin pedals.
Also you will be getting a very solid set of Aluminum forged hubs with 48 spokes and 3/8 axle at the front and rear, all housed within a great set of Kenda K-Rad tires, again at both the back and front of GFR FW.
Conclusion – The Giant GFR FW very nicely designed BMX dirt and street, made with beginners in mind. Of course experienced riders may choose this bike because of its exceptional value for money and maybe just to try out something different with their customization skills.
The bike performs well in both dirt and on the flats; buy may need some modification to hit the slopes with it. The bike comes in a variety of colors that includes blue, cherry red and a very tasty looking white.
