GT Mach One Expert

GT has a long-standing reputation of building quality bicycles at reasonable prices, and brings us yet another excellent offering for the 2010 model year. Except for a newer and stronger frame, the Mach One Expert hasnt changed much in the last three years and remains an excellent choice for either a first 20-incher or for those who simply want an upgrade from that department-store special Mom bought.
The Mach One Experts new high-tensile strength steel frame is 15% stronger than the older models, and regains its place as one of the strongest non-chromoly frames in the industry. Power transfer from leg to earth is basic but reliable: a forged 1-piece crank spins a KMC Z410 chain to 36H hubs, driving knobby GT Wing design tires into the dirt via smooth-rolling and lightweight alloy rims. Tektro brake levers engage strong V-type and Hub-type rear brakes when it comes time to bring things to a stop.
The Mach One Expert costs significantly more than those cheap department-store rip-offs, but still comes in on the low end of the spectrum for those who take their trail-busting a little more seriously.
Though still suitable for to-and-from school riding, the Mach One Expert carries on GTs tradition of making at least one reasonably priced and versatile bike that fill every niche of consumer need.
