Haro X3

Following in its successful market strategy of diversifying a single model line, Haro offers us the new X3. As the name might imply, this is an option package on the wildly successful and high-flying X-series frame, but with yet another series of improvement that make it more formidable yet.
First off, the frame has been strengthened by the extensive use of Chromoly steel in the downtube, Mid BB and internal head tube, for an overall gain in tensile strength of over 150% from the X2. As any hardcore dirt-jumper can tell you, this alone is enough to warrant the premium that the X3 commands over the X2, since the rough and tumble atmosphere is far less forgiving than the sterile predictability of a skate park or city street. In this market, a stable frame is where the story of overall durability begins and ends.
Carryovers from the X2 include Chromoly front forks, cable detangler, alloy cassette and rear hub. Wienmann 36H rims, a chromoly 3-piece crankset and Ende Rotor handle the power transfer duties, and standard MS4 rear and Joe dirt front tire guarantee that none of your or this chassis’ potential goes to waste. Though essentially an upgrade package for the X2, the Haro X3 is a beast of its own, and an important platform for serious rider to move one step closer to a full-fledged race bike.
