Mongoose Fraction

The Mongoose Fraction BMX bike is built for riders who like dialed bikes and bright colors. This bright orange bike features a SANKO butted Seamless Cromo frame, Tektro FX15 Alloy U-brakes, and a full cromo fork. Its a lightweight bike, weighing in at 28 pounds, and relatively expensive at around $600, which could make it a good bike for the casual trail rider.
Dont let its low price fool you, however. This is a good stock bike, built to stand up to trails. It has a small sprocket and great components. There are concerns that the brake gyro is not the best, but if you upgrade the pads, your brakes should perform well. This is a smooth bike giving a fantastic ride. With its 20.75 top tube, the ride is easy.
With shorter chainstays and a lighter overall weight, Mongoose has shown great improvements over past models. If you havent checked out a Mongoose lately, its worth looking at the 2009 Mongoose Fraction BMX Bike. You may be pleasantly surprised with how well the new Mongoose performs.
This is a Steve McCann signature bike, far removed from the bikes Mongoose has historically produced. Riders who have had trouble with previous Mongoose bikes remain leery, but the Fraction is a well-designed bike.
